Returning to a traditional way of life would make people happier :)

In the 21st century, new technologies are everywhere in our lives. Of course, these technologies are important and allow achieving huge things, whether in medicine, science, communication or transport. On the other hand, people have become technology-addicts and, for example, are always using their smartphones. Some people have decided to “unplug” for the purpose of communicating with others and, more generally, changing their way of life.
There are many ways to escape the modern world. Movements have been created: take the example of steampunks. This movement, inspired by the Victorian era, advocates the return to traditional habits. Steampunks want to wear old clothes inspired by the Industrial Revolution, to carry out old activities (practice old sports, attend lectures) and more particularly want people to care again about “good manners”, as shown by their motto "be nice to one another". This movement allows people to exchange and to talk about their passion. The festival "weekend at the Asylum" is a gathering of thousands of steampunks and shows the willingness of people to share. These are not virtual but real exchanges.
I believe that trying to recreate some aspects of what used to be a traditional way of life will make people happier because they will be more sociable and kind to each other
